Greece is probably the prettiest destinations in Europe and selecting only some photos of Greece for a recent photo contest was no easy task, nevertheless the Acropolis will not ignored. Our Greek vacation included Athens, Mykonos, Paros and Santorini along with the photo that actually won second devote the contest was a photo of the gingerbread.
The magical island of Santorini is appropriate in the heart of the gorgeous, blue Aegean Sea. The Greece you have always wanted comes to life about this island while using white buildings and streets. Most with the hotels about this island are small but luxurious. Take the 4.5 mile hike from Fira to Oia. Be sure to take water and wear comfortable shoes. The views with the ocean along with the volcano are spectacular.
Check out the ruins of Ancient Thera. This ancient city includes remains from multiple periods for example the Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine. Once you arrive at the ancient city, it is possible to look down to see the black sand beaches. Kamari Beach is probably the most popular beaches on Santorini.
Enjoy another day at the beach at Red Beach. The beach is called for reddish volcanic sand.
